Santhome Charitable Trust was formed in 2007 for fulfilling charitable objectives in and around Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Chengalpattu districts under the auspicious patronage of Chennai Catholic Migrant Mission.

In 2017, the Catholic Migrant Mission was elevated to the status of a Diocese and presently this Trust comes under Diocese of Hosur, having its head office at Ayanavaram, Chennai.

The Trust also operates a home for the aged called Santhome Snehatheeram at Erayamangalam, Thiruvallur Dist., Tamil Nadu, from 2009 where there are 70 senior women citizens at present. The motto of the Trust is ‘Give a hand for the fullness of Life”. Reverend nuns from Deena Bandhu Samaj Sisters give the nursing care therein.
